No need to unmount Edge 1050 from Windows?

I noticed that the Edge 1050 acts a bit different than previous models.  Although Windows does show the drive, it doesn't seem to act the same as previous generations.  Mainly, there is no "unmount drive" option on Windows 11 for the Edge 1050, and I can't directly open a file from the device in edit mode; it needs to be copied, and then transferred back to the device.  I'm not up to date on newer drive types and mounting options, but this leads me to ask:

Is it acceptable to simply unplug it from Windows when finished transferring files?  I recall a (very) rare instance of an old model where somebody didn't properly unmount the drive and had to have another user send them an Edge system file that was corrupt. I'm guessing there is no concern on this model?
