Is your mount set to the long position? I was about to buy a 1050 but I’m now concerned with the conflicting reports.
The bar is a single piece of alloy, it has one length. The 1050 will fit… if you force it (to me) more than a little bit. For a computer that expensive, I don’t want to force it every time I take it off the bike … the tabs on the connecting post of the computer will eventually fail.
I’ve listed somewhere else. If you put a small piece of plastic between the stem and the mounting bar, it gives the computer enough clearance to come on and off without touching the stem.
On mine the computer mount "puck" can be orientated to a long position or a short position.
I carry it in the long position and I have placed the original "hitch" of the curved support that comes in the box, it raises the position a little and releases the stem.
Got it. Yes i have mine setup the same way with the puck extended as far as it can go.
Actually. As i look at your specific puck, it rises higher above the base than mine does (I’d take a pic, but the bike is in the shop for a front derailleur issue :) ) … i ‘think’ your elevated puck will give you enough clearance to fit.
This way it doesn't touch and there is a gap of approximately 2 millimeters, it fits perfectly.
I have the SL7 stem and faceplate and am using that with roval rapide bars (not the one piece). It fits fine using the specialized/barfly mount but it does rub when you're twisting in on and off.
I've just put a piece of 3M vinyl wrap on the 1050 usb port cover and also on the front of the face plate. Works well now
Would you mind expanding on what you mean by "original "hitch" of the curved support that comes in the box". Is this something that I can replicate with the contents of the Edge 1050 box? I assume that's the case, but just want to check before purchasing.
The 1050 box also comes with the curved support, you have to release the round piece and put it on the SL7 support
