Edge 1050 and K-Edge Mount

Hello could you show lenght difference between k-edge XL and Max XL please  ?

I have both and the difference is 3mm.  However the difference is not just the length.  The old XL has a lump near the clamp and that lump can interfere with the unit.

Extra: The 1050 isn’t much longer than my 1030.  The problem is the connecting post is much further forward on the 1050 - that puts more of the device behind the mount and ‘surprise’ (while it’s the same size as old device) … doesn’t fit. 

Yes, I have two K-Edge XL mounts that the 1050 won't fit on...

Just to clarify if a clamp is marked Max XL it will work with the 1050 or were there old Max XLs that only fit previous models?  Thanks for any help.

The older Mount was known as the XL. The newer model is known as the Max XL and the 1050 will fit on that. Garmin have also started selling an adapter for the older mounts as well which allows you to use the older mounts with the 1050. I bought 2 adapters and use them now.
