The new mount does not fit the mount on my Trek Madone or my Trek Emonda. I was using the K-Edge mount and the new position of the computer's mount make is impossible.

The exact bike I used to show that in my 1050 video. (Madone 8 though.... nice bike!)
More to do with mechanical vibration and the center of gravity.
The change of mount position makes this a hard pass for me, I have a 1040 and a load of proprietary out-front mounts, the cost of replacing all the mounts (when/if they become available) would be more…
Told you it works no problem
Compatability chart not correct
Framesandgear and K-EDGE Madone SLR Gen 8 Garmin Mounts:

Framesandgear Madone SLR Gen 8 Garmin 1050 Mount:

K-EDGE Madone SLR Gen 8 Garmin 1050 Mount:

The Framesandgear leave a gap between the handlebar and the 1050 so the silicone case cause zero issues when on. The K-EDGE has no gap but still, the silicone case fit OK and when rotating it cause zero damage to the handlebar as it barely touch the bar with the silicone case on.
In conclusion, both can be used with silicone case however, the Framesandgear looks better than the K-EDGE.
A bit of advise , alway torque up K-Edge Gen 8 stem to 3NM. No chance of it coming loose..
