Edge 1040 - severe navigation lag and rerouting problem (latest firmware)

Hello

I'm long term Garmin user, last 10 years have edge devices for my bike racing and training.

Now I have Edge 1040 for one year, I l'm not satisfied with navigation, when I make route and I can't go in planed direction, edge is asking me if I want to recalculate, I confirm and after that I keep goojg, but it said make a U-turn...and this is so anoying, why they whant me get back on old route that I say i dont want to go??

And another problem is that device is laggy.

When I buy it year ago I think that this problem will be solved in future firmware updates, but it didn't

For me Garmin = Navigation, but not this time

How did you say to the Edge that you don't want to go along the old route?

There where two ways to the same destination, one by left and other by right route. On start I choose left route but when I arrive at junction, left route was non ridable so I go right and Garmin ask if I want to recalculate, I confirm and start riding along right route and after few meters navigation say make U-turn, I zoom map and see that garmin pointing me to old left route that I choose before recalculation
