Edge 1040 crashes immediately on "Saved Locations"

I noted that the latest topo map update had corrupted my map file, so I reinstalled the map, and then the error was gone for two rides but eventually came back.

So it's appears to me that this has to be an indexing problem with an entry in the "Recent Finds" list that possibly has no location point any more on the new map.

Since I could not make any way to clear the Recent Finds list manually, I recalled from decades of Garmin Experience that a full device reset after every 2 or 3 firmware updates was / is never a bad idea since it resolves most erratic behavior and also contributes to overall performance, reliability and responsiveness of the device, so I did that.

Since the list of "Recent Finds" is now empty, the error is gone and I will observe whether or not it comes back.
