This issue was closed on the forum topics, but quite well still exists. I also experience sensor connection problems since the latest update to firmware 29.22. Never any issues before. Connection problems are with Garmins own products, I have it with the radar/ backlight, and with the heart rate sensor from my Garmin Expix pro gen 2 watch. It initially connects fine, but after a minute or so it starts saying Connection with Radar lost, and also stops displaying the heart rate values.
When starting to just go out and ride, the connection does not come back to the Edge 1040. I have to switch it off (power off, not on sleep mode) and turn it on again, start a new ride and then it shows connections live instantly.
I think it's kind of ridiculous when you have over Eur. 1800 digital stuff for 3 devices and it just stops working, and cannot just start a ride because of computer malfunction.
Garmin, please fix this newly introduced firmware bug and take care of stable connections among your own devices at least.
Forgetting the sensor on the Garmin and then reconnect does not make the connection stable.
