29.22 SW map screen update

Why has the map screen data-fields been re-arranged in the 3-fields lay-out with the 29.22 firmware update? It used to be the two fields on top and the 1 field at the bottom. With the 29.22 SW update this has been re-arranged to 1 field on top and 2 fields at the bottom. I was pretty much used to the previous lay-out

    Yeah that's pretty annoying.

    I ...had... "Windfield" and "MapField" on top,

    and "MapDashboard" at the bottom.

    Pretty sleek.

    But now this is not possible anymore.

    Why, Garmin?

    Has anyone found a way to revert this to the previous behavior?

    For me it's not just a matter of "getting used to it". I use the MapDashboard data field which spans over two data fields to show up to six data values. I had this configured at the bottom, with two additional fields over it. This layout is important. I display my most crucial data on the two fields above because the bottom data field is often obscured with notifications or alerts, and the last thing I think is to glance down at my head unit to check current wattage and have it blocked by some notification.

    Already looking for ways to revert to an older firmware, and also how to disable automatic updates.
