Hey Garmin community,
First-time Garmin owner here! Just got my Edge 1040 Solar and while the initial setup went smoothly, I've hit a frustrating roadblock. I'm trying to sync routes from Komoot, but it requires a software update that simply won't install.
The Issue: My device is stuck on firmware version 24.56
What I've tried so far:
Successfully completed initial device setup- Connected to Garmin Connect app (Samsung S24 Ultra)
- Linked Komoot account
Garmin Express on macOS - recognizes the device and syncs, but claims I'm "up to date"- Manual update check on device (System > About > Check for Updates):

- Via Wi-Fi: No updates found
- Via Bluetooth: No updates found
Checked ~/Library/Application Support/Garmin/ on macOS - interestingly, I can see version 29.22 files there
My Question: Am I missing something obvious here? Is this typical for Garmin devices, or did I get a problematic unit? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
