Do you have Max HR set to automatic? If so it will compute a max HR value from a sub maximal effort.

Do you have other Garmin devices, like a smart watch, have you use for training? That other device may be sending a max heart rate to Garmin Connect.

Maybe xbnotsag doesn't want his training all messed up, although that seems like an awfully high level of expectation....

probably you never went fullmax in the last months :) go and try it. and as it was previously written, it is a prediction/calculation from a submaximal effort with HRV derivation.
