1040 Suddenly has sensor connection problems

Suddenly, my Stages power meter insists on taking 1 minute to pair via bluetooth which I have to do before every ride now! Even though is says connected, it shows no data. My ANT+ Bontrager DuoTrap no longer has good cadence data and frequently shows half of my cadence. I've changed the battery in this and no change.

I'm assuming all of these connection issues are due to the new, onerous EU rules regarding encryption that seems to be inadvertently breaking old sensors!

I can also confirm that my cadence sensor and HR monitor have struggled to connect when before they worked perfectly... Someitmes I have to physically push connect while on a ride to get my cadence sensor…

Try to "forget" and reconnect the sensor

Someitmes I have to physically push connect while on a ride to get my cadence sensor to connect when it used to connect like clockwork. I'm guessing this is because of the last update to the 1040.
