auto detect FTP confirmation screen

I used to use a 1030 and if it auto detected a new FTP after a ride it would give me a report at the end of the ride and offer me the chance to accept the new number or stay with the old one.

It seems the 1040 just saves it without telling you or giving the option to accept it, am I imagining this?

I've noticed a few times that my FTP setting has changed in Connect after rides, but I don't recall seeing a notification like the 1030 used to give.

Can anyone else remember seeing one?

Ok, thanks, I must have missed the screens before when my auto detect FTP number has changed. I've never seen a similar message for VO2max.

there are for both (if the auto detect is enabled for VO2Max also)

Ok, so I have just done a ride and it shows in the highlights screen my FTP - but it isn’t clearly telling me that it’s changed (even though it has a new number) - and didn’t give me the chance to accept it or not.

Is there a setting somewhere I need to change?

This is what Garmin support said.. so I guess the UI has changed and is different in this way to the 1030. That's a bit annoying. Easy to miss the auto calculation and it doesn't synchronise with trainer road - which is why I wanted to know of any changes.

There isn't a specific "setting" to accept or decline a new FTP after a ride on a device like a Garmin Edge 1040; instead, the device automatically calculates your new FTP after a qualifying test, and you may need to manually update it.
