In Garmin 1040 firmware 28.20 the ‘search adress’ disappeared.

Since I upgraded my Garmin 1040 to firmware 28.20 the ‘search adress’ function in the navigation menu has disappeared. Any solutions, other than downgrading firmware?

Check the enable switch for the "Geocode Map" in the Activity Configure Maps (in the Activity Navigation settings), if off the Search function does not appear, some software "upgrades" can change some…

Check the enable switch for the "Geocode Map" in the Activity Configure Maps (in the Activity Navigation settings), if off the Search function does not appear, some software "upgrades" can change some settings and the Configure Maps options often swap setting?

Thank you so much L.Rouge.

I checked and there was no geocode map at all to switch on. So I re-installed the topoactivemap that is supposed to include it and that did the job.
