Since updating the firmware my battery life has dropped dramatically. Now using 25% in 2 hours. This is no good for long rides. Anyone else found a solution?

did you check the background light setting? is it "Stays On"? or the preferred "15 sec" or longer?
Hi, thanks I checked that, it was fine. Ive been to Garmin no update yet.
Hello ChasR thanks for your post. We escalated your report to Garmin Support and it is under review.
From the recent ride data you shared, we can see a ~9% battery drain (45% to 36%) over 5 hours on older software, and a ~16%Δ (42% to 26%) during a more recent 5 hour ride. Both rides shared the same backlight settings and are within expectations for Edge 1050 battery life, we are continuing to investigate if others experience similar behavior.
If you've loaded any new Connect IQ applications, paired new sensors, or changed any other Bluetooth connectivity features, these may impact overall battery performance.
Yo también lo he notado, la duración ha bajado mucho. En la versión 33 sigue pasando
valenvistac it appears your Edge 1050 is using manual brightness with the Backlight Timeout set to "Stays On" - this will significantly impact battery life and is not related to software.
Garmin considers Auto brightness with Backlight Timeout set to Stays On to be a "demanding" use case, and estimates up to 20 hours battery life.
With a manual brightness setting and the backlight constantly on, you can expect decreased battery life: Edge 1050 Battery Life Expectations
