Maps update issue

I'm in big trouble. A couple days ago I went in the Map Manager and found an update for Europe (I live in France)

Then, I sarted to update but when I saw it will take more than 10 hours I stopped.

And now when I go to Navigation a message pops up :

It seems that I deleted my own map in the process.

Back to the Map Manager after searching I found the update for Europe but this time : insufficient space I have to delete 1.7 GB

What can I do now ? Please help

Delete USA maps.

Use "Garmin Express" software on PC or mac

I watched a YouTube video from Garmin about Garmin Express and it seems that it is meant only to update maps but not deleting maps ? Someone tell me how do you delete maps with Garmin Express ?

To delete USA maps and gain space why not just connect my Edge 1040 to my computer and delete directly the maps ?

You just un-check the maps you want to delete in Garmin express
