Spontaneous reboots 27.14

2 spontaneous reboots during a long gravel ride. The 1040 picked up the course again both times and the mileage, etc. continued to count. However, there is a 85km gap in the data in Garmin Connect between the 2 spontaneous reboots, and a straight line has been drawn on the map between the points where the spontaneous reboots occurred which has resulted in a 85km loop in the route being lost.

Something similar happened to me earlier on a long (200 km+) ride with 27.12 beta sw. Now, under 27.14 stable, it happened just during my 333km record gravel ride, leaving me with a worthless data set and an equally worthless route map to remember this by.

Very disappointing that my €500 Garmin has let me down again!

  • yep stability is not Garmins Game.

it  annoys me over and over again.

People at Garmin seem to be deaf for these complains.

  • It is very annoying that Garmin releases such a pice of sh.. Firmware and doesn‘t react over a time of weeks and months to user complaints. And on top of that they canceled the possibility to downgrade the firmware with this new file system. A realy bad thing. If they do not release a new firmware in the next few days i will sell my Edge and go back to wahoo. Wahoo is more Customer friendly and fixes issues in a shorter time. Sorry Garmin but service is not your strenght.
