Edge 1040 solar restarting new activity after finishing or deleting running activity

Hello,

i have an Edge 1040 solar with firmware 27.14.

I lately experiences a behavior, where the device was starting a new activity on its own. I was in a car and moving, while the Edge was still on.

I then stopped and and discarded this activity, but the device was instantaneously a new activity on its own. This could not be stopped, until the car was stopped. Then I was able to discard the activity and turn off the unit.

In previous versions, I saw a blue arrow/pause sign, indicating that the device was moving, but no activity was started. This was not the case with the newest firmware. Did anyone else experience this?

As you said, I accidently had an automatic start in one of my profiles and now changed it back to prompted start.

Is Timer Start Mode set to Auto perhaps? In that case the Edge will automatically start an activity when it detects movement. There's also Prompted mode, then you will see the pause/start sign on screen but the activity will not start automatically.

Thanks for the hint. I will have a look on the settings. But - as said - the device was on "prompted mode" before and I did not change the settings.
