Since 27.13, I experience the following on half of rides over 4 hrs. I've never experienced this in any of the older versions.
- I press the stop button at the end of the ride
- The red square appears in the middle of the screen, but the the 1040 doesn't show the dialog to save the ride. A red flag is shown on the right middle of the screen
- The device believes an active ride is still underway (e.g. trying to sync via Wifi triggers a message to that effect)
- Touching the red flag (see 2nd item above) renders the 1040 completely unresponsive. I have to perform reboot (long-hold the power button)
The only way I've found to save the ride is to connect it to the laptop. That somehow triggers the fit file to be created and synced to Garmin Connect. However, the fit file incorrectly indicates the ride as an indoor ride! Garmin connect shows the route I've ridden, but doesn't include any elevation information.
