After a recent update on Garmin 1040 solar, climbs don't show up anymore . Either using a pre determined waypoint or not . any hint please?

What 2024.10 maps are still listed?
Looks like you have more than enough to keep busy, I did the above (delete .IMGs, delete \SQL\Internal, delete .Region DB ) and reinstalled the maps for Europe West & Australia in Express but still ended up with the Australia DEM "map" being 2024.10 version?
It does not seem to make any difference, I don't do any course/route creation on the 1040 so it may not go near the DEM map anyway. I will juest play with it to see if anything breaks (Maybe the region DEM details have not changed but the 1040 thinks this file is part of Cycle Maps rather than TopoActive.)
Glad to say that after a few panic moments , it worked out . Mac and Garmin not any longer a friendly environment:) thanks again
Provided you don't have two DEM maps for the same region the 2024.10 version could be correct as the DEM maps do not always get updated as elevation does not really change unless there has been a survey update.
TopoActive 2025.10 has 3 DEM maps for Europe: East, Central and West. Same applies to the Geocode maps, also version 2025.10. I've seen reports that the Geocode 2024.10 map is not removed properly by Express when updating the maps. Not sure if this also applies to other map regions though.
I always thought the Basemap is the simplified map data for high zoom levels? The SID files are indeed map styling info, my GPSMAP 67 has those files as well, and if you remove them the old styling for TopoActive maps from before the SID files were added returns.
