Garmin Edge 1040 solar not synching Garmin Connect

For the second time in two weeks Edge 1040 not synching wit Garmin Connect and/or Strava.

What's going on here?

Anyone having same problem?

Removing Edge1040 in GC 2x per week is not done...

    So the main problem is that Garmin is not synching in the following situation:

    Record an activity
    Stop activity and have Garmin summarize details

    Put Garmin on 'off' since I am not interested in any recordings after the coffee stop at the end and  I d't care about the last 3 kms.

    At home I start up Garmin and finish the tour.

    I that case Garmin doesn't sync at all! Why not?

    It has always worked fine but now since a month or so... it refuses to sync with Garmin Connect  AND STRAVA.

    Meanwhile I am getting sick of Garmin...

    and yes: sure I can upload the .FIT file, but why so old skool?

    Garmin gets more and more annoying..

    Any ideas how to solve?
