I close the app reopen no success. Only after I restart 1040 the ride is uploaded(sometimes not) . Come one Garmin its 2025 there shouldn't be a problem like this. Its only 500kb file upload to a phone. How hard can it be?

I have to shutdown my Edge 1040 after saving the ride, turn it back on, then it syncs. SMH. It used to autosync the ride almost immediately after I hit the Save button. Why do we have to do so much manually to get things to work? Delete Activities folder just does not seem like a reasonable fix. I am noticing that starting and stopping the edge for a short activity (1 - 5 seconds is all that is needed), the autosync works again. My Load Focus gets populated in the mornings by recording a short ride and then deleting it. Very quirky!
- What caused the issue to start?
- Is there a specific activity (activity type, activity length, etc) in the Activities folder that causes the issue?
I have the idea that the Garmin goes searching for map updates, FW updates, app/widget updates etc. before syncing the ride/activity. Or maybe even at the same time, but the ride/activity sync gets lower priority or something.
After a reboot, maybe the ride/activity gets synced first.
That's why I think disabling wifi helps with the syncing issue, as the Garmin won't be stupid enough to try and update maps and firmware over Bluetooth.
