The last couple of times I have went to switch my Edge 1040 which is fully charged, it comes to life when plugged into the laptop to sync etc. But go to switch on to start a ride and it does not start up in the normal time frame. When it does eventually start I spin the pedals calibrate the Rally 200's and finish getting ready to ride and look at the computer and it has switched off again. This has happened a few times at the start of the club ride so I then do not have time to load up the route and have to just go and hope I remeber the entire route.
