Edge 1040 Pause

I have just got the 1040 and I am struggling with pausing a ride. I know I can press the stop button and it will pause but it’s supposed to let you swipe from the bottom of the screen and bring up a pause option but I cannot seem to get my 1040 to do this.

any tips or ideas I am on the latest version of the software

    Is your stop button malfunctioning or why do you want to use a menu option for pausing a ride? Because there isn't one, maybe you're confusing this with pausing a workout.

    You can stop an active workout by swiping from the top of the screen (not the bottom).

    Puasing an actvitity recording can only be done with the start/stop button (bottom rigth) or by enabling Auto Pause where the Edge will pause the recording if you stop moving.
