No Daily Suggested Workouts

Hi everybody,

I do not get daily suggested workouts on my Edge 1040 Solar. If I open Training -> Workouts -> Daily Suggested Workout, I only get an empty screen. In the settings, which I can open with the three dots at the top, I have all days as training days, Saturday and Sunday as long ride days and target type is Power.

I'm cycling with Favero Assioma Duo power meter pedals. My heart rate is broadcast from my Forerunner 965. As far as I have found out, these are the requirements to get the daily suggested workouts.

Am I still missing something? Do I probably need a "real" heart rate sensor? Or do you have other suggestions?

Thanks in advance!
Jens

  • Have you ever received Daily Suggested Workouts on this Edge? This support article outlines some of the causes for these to not display, and I am curious if you have a current training status for cycling present in your account.

  • I have never received the Daily Suggested Workouts for cycling on the Edge, only for running on my Forerunner 965.

I had seen the support article before, but I have double checked it again. The "Show on Home Screen" option is activated and I do not have any other active training plan.

As for the training status: I have two VO2max, one general (which I presume is for running) and one for cycling. They have slightly different values, which I think is okay. On the Edge I can see the value for cycling if I go to Menu -> My Stats -> Training Status. Status is "Productive". On the Forerunner and directly in Garmin Connect I can see both VO2max values. If I check the Training Status in Garmin Connect, it also shows "Productive", based on the Running VO2max.

I hope, that helps! Anyway, thank you already!
