I have used my Edge 1040 a lot with my Tacx Flux 2, without sticky problems. Recently, I have changed the Edge from 7 power levels to the 9 Coggan iLevels to optimize interval training. I now face several problems:
1) The 9 levels are given different names in some menues. At the definition, the names are just "Zone 1" to "Zone 9". In workout statistics, we have instead "Zone 1" to "Zone 7", and addtionally "Zone 4a" and "Zone 7a". --> I can handle that.
2) Trainings previously defined use the zone names to control the target power. That's fine up to Zone 3. Above, the names are incompatible. So you have to change all the old trainings to have e.g. a correct FTP zone. --> I can handle that, that's unavoidable when changing the number of zones.
3) What drives me nuts: Whatever I try, the Flux doesn't give me hard intervals anymore. The training says e.g. "Zone 7" or "Zone 8" between 480 and 720 Watt (avg 600 W) but the Flux doesn't follow. It just says 0 W and instead let's me manually change the gradient from "0%" to anything higher. Of course that's not my intention to changed that manually during 10 second intervals.
Also the standard warm-up included in many trainings with the 5 second peak in Zone 7 is not possible anymore. I have also changed the max power from 2000 W to 1200 W or 1198 W or 800 W but that doesn't help. Has anyone tried and can help?
