Garmin edge 1040 pausing

Garmin any developments on this on-going issue?

What is the pause supposed to be therefore or is this a code glitch in the system? Whatever its extremely difficult to use the Garmin for navigation.

    I don't know of an ongoing issue, the old thread was about the pause symbol automatically reappearing after discarding it and not about that it appears in the first place. That may not be useful to you, but seeing that pauses don't only happen when standing still the symbol has its uses for others and it's easy to dismiss with a single tap.
