Where have my Intensity Minutes Gone?

I wish I could remember exactly when this happened, but sometime over the last couple of months my Intensity Minutes using my Edge 1040 and HRM-DUAL have gone to zero.  I know that there are other threads on this subject, but none of the "solutions" have worked for me.

I ride my TACX trainer at least 5 days per week and I used to get 500 plus intensity minutes, but now I am getting exactly zero.

My 1040 has the latest Beta firmware

I have a Garmin Venu 3 that I don't wear when cycling (on the trainer and outdoors).

If I take a walk, not leisurely, but not a run, I pick up a few intensity minutes (using my watch).

Is there a setting on my 1040 or in Connect that I have inadvertently changes?  This is really bothering my especially since it affects my health stats so I really don't know what my true readiness is.

    Intensity Minutes calculations rely heavily on heart rate during an activity, average resting heart rate, and your user profile. Be sure these seem accurate and review our FAQ here:How Are Intensity Minutes Earned?

    A shorter ride (less than 20 minutes or so) or a relatively low-intensity activity may not generate Intensity Minutes credit.

    The errors described here have been reported and we are investigating further.
    The root cause is Garmin Connect favoring heart rate data from the Primary Wearable Device (Garmin watch) and resulting in no Intensity Minutes credit to be generated for Edge-cycling activities.This should be resolved via changes to Garmin Connect rather than specific device updates.

  • Thanks for the explanation. The cause you say is in the direction what I thought.
    But I had also the case where I recorded with the Edge 540 + HRM (not pro+) while the watch was SHUT OFF and I had the same problem. I found out this was because the Edge had bluetooth connection to the Garmin connect on the phone while recording. I have also to disconnect the Edge from the smartphone while recording. Then I get activity minutes correct and and even daily heart rate, which should not be the case according garmin.
