Messed up elevation data after wireless transfer from Ride With Gps

Hello,

Since a few weeks now I'm not able to get correct data via wireless transfer from RWGPS.

When I pin or unpin a ride I get enormous spikes in elevation when loading the course up. See image attached.
When I transfer the GPX file manually from rwgps everyting works fine. When I send the same course from garmin connect to the device, all works well.

I already:

* Wiped my edge and a fresh install

*Transfer wifi and bluetooth (no difference)

* Loaded different maps (osm garmin maps etc...)

Any suggestions please.

  • I have the same issue I uploaded the Giro Della Donna route from ride with GPS which had 3291 m of elevation when I loaded into Garmin elevation jumped to 4291.

I also saw this on the edge 1050 at the end of the ride which hard recorded 4291m of elevation.

however when I save the ride the elevation dropped to 1775.

i then uploaded to strava and asked strava to adjust elevation and it came back to 3219m

so there is something strange with Garmein data in some places

  • Thus far, I found a small workaround.

Make your course in Rwgps, then choose from the app to download to gpx file.

Open this gpx file in Garmin Connect app en send it to the Edge.

That works just fine for the elevation data.

From the side of Rwgps, their support says it's on Garmin's Edge and an error occurs when sending the file to Garmin.
