My e-bike rides automatically change to indoor rides Garmin 1040. Is this happening to anyone else?

This started automatically in September and since i have been on the bike sporadically over the last few weeks i thought it was a fluke. Now it is annoying and I am losing all the data. And before I do a factory reset, I was wondering if there was an easy fix.

I have done the latest update.

I ride ebike and indoor - on different profiles, and I never have/had this problem.

When does the device „automatically change your ebike ride to indoor“?

as soon as I end. i pops up saying it is an indoor ride. I have 2 profiles (i have a ebike pinerello and a regular road giant) I have used the 2 seperate profilesfor almost a year with no issues. but it changed in september and i cannot figure how to fix, i even deleted the indoor bike profile last night.

So, do I understand right: you make an outdoor ebike ride, and when you‘re finished for saving the ride, it tells you, it was an indoor ride?

I assume you have dedicated the ebike profile to „ebike“ or „e mountainbike“?

Is GPS enabled on your ebike ride whithout doing something at the start? (Then it cannot be dedicated to „indoor“).

first question - yes

and yes i have a dedicated e - bike profile that i used for 9 months with no hiccups and now i use it and it immediatly changes to indoor bike ride

and the third, i did not know anything about the nabling gps on the ebike. i will look at tq e bike app now

thank you so much, you helped me. it was the gps on the garmin had gotten shut off, and i just walked around the house and it said it was a ebike when ended. YAY!
