Corrupt FIT File

Hello,

I finished a ride and the file won't upload. It seems to be corrupted. Can anyone help me retrieve the data? It would be a huge help.

This appears to be the file returned from FIT File Tools web site. Do you have the original from your Edge?

Unfortunately, the file is empty (0 KB). Assume you've gotten this from your device in the \GARMIN\Activity or TempFIT folders?

yes, it's the file directly uploaded from the garmin edge 1040 device from the activities folder. the distance and elevation actually shows on the device itself but the data won't upload. is there anything that could be done?

Not with an empty file. You can try to search your device for other potentially deleted files as mentioned here - how do I get my activity back
