Assimoa Uno Duo as unified channel L or dual channel L/R?

HI, I have purchased a set of Assioma Uno Duo pedals. It states it can connect as 'unified channel L' which basically connects the left pedal only and the right pedal send its data to the left pedal to send to the Garmin 1040. There is an options for both pedals to send the data independently of each other directly to the Garmin 1040 which is called 'dual channel L/R' option.

What option should I be using and that provides the best results.

Thank you

  • Unified channel via ANT+, not Bluetooth.  I reliably get all the pedal dynamics that way.

  • yes, absolutely, the Ant+ allows you to take power left and right in same time
I remember I had to pair it several times to get the Ant+
    With the Assioma Duo
i have balance on the 1040

  • the Garmins cant handle the "dual L and R channels" (Polars can), so you need to use the "unified..." setting if you wanna use the pedals via BT with a Garmin head unit. But it can connect only to 1 device so better to use the ANT+ protocol, that can connect to unlimited head units simultaneously and give you cycling dynamics data too (via BT you get only Power and Balance data)
