How to change default activity profile

My Edge always defaults to INDOOR profile when I turn it on.

How do I change the default start up profile, and also how do I change the order of the profiles on the Edge?

Since the 24.18 update, it always starts up with whatever profile is at the far left in the list on the top of the dashboard (the leftmost line, under the profile name). This order does not correspond…

I'm having the same issue. This seems to be a new thing with the latest firmeware. I swear it used to reboot into whatever profile I last used.

Hopefully this is a bug that they will fix as it's very annoying.

Mine still reboots to the last profile i used. I have a number of bikes, each with their own profile so I do swap profiles a lot!

It should start with what ever profile was the last one used. If it is not doing that you may need back things up and reset the unit and restore your settings from the backup or through the initial set-up.

This order does not correspond to the order in the Activity Profile screen either as Indoor is last in that list but first (now) on my dashboard

This is clearly a bug that was introduced in the latest firmware as it started as soon as I have updated.

FWIW: With 24.18, mine starts up with the last used profile. Now Checking 24.19 and it still starts up with the last used profile.

I'm having this same issue with 24.19. Edge powers on to 'Indoor' profile.

Worse still, I've now had at least 2-3 rides where I've stopped mid-ride, pressed stop on the 1040, then start when I set off again, only to discover a short while later that the 1040 has changed itself to the INDOOR profile and the GPS is off...

Garmin - please fix asap!!
