my edge 1040 solar not charging properly

My Garmin 1040 Solar has been great for 2 years. Unfortunately it now will not charge past 63%. I have tried the lead supplied by Garmin and others; linked to wall socket and laptop USB ports. Neither is doing it successfully.

It will also switch itself off after a period of time whilst charging.

Please can you offer some assistance.

Advice will probably be to first do a reset, and if that doesn't work, contact Garmin for warranty or other solution.
