Using Edge 1040 with Vivoactive 4s smartwatch

I recently got an Edge 1040 and have been using Vivoactive 4s for around 2 years now.

I am unable to connect the two in anyway.

I saw the compatibility list and seems like this watch and the edge device are not compatible.

So I'm trying to at least broadcast the heart rate from the watch to the edge device but it doesn't seem to be receiving anything.

I would really appreciate some help regarding this.

If connecting the two is not possible is anyway, I'd like to at least be able to broadcast the heart rate to the edge device. Otherwise the $500 purchase seems rather incomplete.

Set the vivoactive to broadcast heart rate.

Add the vivoactive to the edge as a heart rate sensor.

Works fine, although the VA will use battery faster.

if it is not compatible, you can try to connect and upgrade to a higher version. I think it is reasonable. And it will reconnect for you. Because I think your version is quite good.
