Garmin Varia: vehicle position LED doesn't change color

The vehicle position LED moves up the column as a vehicle gets closer to your bike. The threat level LED DOESN'T changes color on the potential level of threat. So, no amber color on approaching vehicle.

Any idea?

To be clear, the colour shows the closing speed: red, fast (about 30km/h plus closing, at an estimate); orange, closing more slowly than that; green, gone. If a car approaches you at a hgh closing speed…

To be clear, the colour shows the closing speed: red, fast (about 30km/h plus closing, at an estimate); orange, closing more slowly than that; green, gone. If a car approaches you at a hgh closing speed and doesn't slow at any point, it will stay red. If a car closes at a steady 20km/h, it will stay orange and never change to red.

Are you saying that's not happening, or were you expecting something else?

The dot symbolizing a vehicle is always white. The bars on both side of device can use a color scheme, if selected to do so.
