Recently reinstalled Garmin Connect on my phone in the hope to solve a bug (it didn't).

Since then the music control widget on my Edge doesn't work anymore. I can only control the volume. All other control don't work and the widget isn't showing that something is playing.

Repaired the phone to the Edge, but didn't help.

Prior to the reinstall of GC the widget worked fine.

Any idea how to get this functioning again?

    OK... found the reason why the music control widget on the Edge doesn't work.

    When starting to play music from an Android widget, so without opening the music app, this is not detected by the Edge.

    Same behavior happens with my Garmin watch.
