Edge 1040 needs restarting every ride

I have had the Edge 1040 since it first came out. Over the past 3 months, everytime I wake it up to start a ride it doesn't connect to any sensors. I then need to restart it and in this way it works. Anyone else facing this and is there a solution? Thanks

I had this. Uninstall any connect IQ data fields and it'll work again. Ridiculous situation that Garmin are well aware of, but don't seem to care to do anything about
