Having problem communicating with our servers Edge 1040 International version.

I'm staying in APAC and i just bought a new Garmin Edge 1040 International version.

When i connect to Garmin Express i got this error that Having problem communicating with our servers.

Previously I'm using Edge 1030+ APAC version without any issue, same my Fenix 6X APAC version also no issue, Just this new Edge 1040.

  • You need to have an internal Garmin account.
    in the setting you need to select the according AD region for your internal account
    Possible you need a VPN connection, depending in which country you are

  • Thanks for the info, I’ve tested change region and using VPN also not working. That’s why it cause me a panic. But yesterday evening it suddenly works. After nearly a week of trying, yesterday evening suddenly it sync and finally I manage to uninstall all the euro maps and install APAC maps onto the unit. So mostly there’s a server hiccup.
