No low battery warning HRM-dual

Hi,

A few days ago my HRM-Dual heart rate monitor battery was dead without a low battery warning. The day before I made a ride and the HRM-dual battery was reported OK in Garmin Connect and on my edge 1040. I was surprised not to get a low battery warning on the Edge 1040 or in Garmin Connect. Below a screen shot of the battery state of the last ride before the battery went dead.

After replacing the battery, the HRM-Dual is working properly again. Is it normal that there is no low battery warning for the HRM-dual monitor? For my other sensors (speed and power) I do get low battery warnings as expected.

  • If this happened after another battery change by you, look for a thread about the short life of the HRM Breastband after the first battery change. In short, garmin used a poor quality seal around the battery, resulting in more than 3 times shorter battery life. The lack of notification is the result of rapid battery drainage
