Firmware 21.18 Stops my Edge 1040 from being able to use GPS.

I am currently on a bike tour following the same 21 routes as the 2024 Tour de France. Since this update was pushed my bike computer can no longer use GPS. The bike computer still thinks it is 400km away from where I am now, the same location the bike computer automatically tried to update the firmware. Occasionally each day I get a screen pop up that says the firmware update is complete (although it should have been fully implemented 3 days ago), and then a wheel pops up on the screen and goes 0% to 1% before disappearing (I assume uncompleted).

Any suggestions to fix this would be appreciated. Thank you.

Distance, GPS position, speed, etc. are not recorded, but any device connected via bluetooth is still recorded, like Heart rate and power.

You'll need access to a PC to sort it out if it IS this, which I appreciate may be difficult.

Obviously, I'm assuming that you have checked that GPS isn't simply disabled in the profile you're using!

Yes. Looks like that unwanted automatic update change my firmware to GPS Version 0.00. It killed 4 days of recording my tour de france trip.

Now, how do I install a functional GPS firmware file manually?
