Sudden battery degradation with latest firmware

My unit is 1,5 years old and suddenly batterylife dropped drastically, just 6 hours from full to empty. I wonder if warranty replacement is possible or change of battery?

Check that the level of back lighting has not change to on all the time at a high value.
