1040 won’t connect properly/read power tap p1 pedals. My old edge 520 had no issues.

I have p1 power tap pedals that work fine on my tac x turbo trainer and my edge 520 picks them up fine. I bought a new edge 1040 and it will not connect properly or read the power pedals. Others I ride with have had similar issues with their power pedals not reading/connectg. Is this something that can be fixed or is this a fault with the 1040?

How are you paired to the pedals? Over ANT or BLE?

I’ve tried both. Ant+ it connected for about 5mins of a 120mile ride and gave me an average of 32w Ble it only connects one pedal and doesn’t give me any readings at all.
On the edge 520 I believe it was ble connected both pedals and I got all data no problem.

ANT should be the preferred way to go. If you are willing to enable some additional logging and collect some data then let me know and I will give you some instructions on how to do that.
