Climb Pro Suddenly Turning On for Minor Climbs Where it Never Did Before

I have the Garmin Edge 1040. I did not change any default climb pro settings. I have regular nearby routes and the Climb Pro never triggered on the minor climbs on these routes before. All of a sudden, it is triggering multiple times during these rides. What changed and how do I fix this? I don't understand the settings for this. Is there a good video or link that describes this?

  • I also have noted this and posted the following in another thread about ClimbPro:

Climb Pro is now a FU mess since recent updates within the last month or so. I had to turn it off with the latest iteration because it showed up on every stupid, lame-ass short low-grade climb just getting out of my neighborhood. It was silly and annoying. But if I turn off Uncategorized it ignores pretty much most of the legit climbs in my area. There seems to be a very wide gap between Uncategorized and Cat 5 (or whatever the next range is) that makes the feature mostly worthless now. I suppose if all you do is ride in mountains it may be a nice feature, but for my hilly, but non-mountain area it's now a useless feature

  • Ahh, so that's why it is suddenly telling me about "climbs" where I never even realised there was an incline before.  Boy howdy, a 1m ascent over 500m is suddenly a big deal. and I'm crushin' it!
