Beta for 1040 is locked up - no new reports possible?

I allowed to receive 21.17 after a backup and had a crash, went to report the exact thing that made it crash, but it seems the beta reporting is shut down?
I can see all posts there, but no replies or new posts allowed.

Is this intentional? Garmin no longer interested in reports of what is not working, details on when or how?

I also had an impression the device once said 21.18 was available, but then it showed 21.17 after accepting. Anyone else saw this?

    21.17 was released as „official release“. So, no beta version is actual out now! That‘s what‘s written on top of the beta thread:

    This section is currently in a read-only state while there is no active beta.

    There is ALWAYS an active beta - just happens to be inflicting the whole population right now, but the bugs don't disappear just because it is not a "beta release", there should be a way to report crashes, bugs, data loss, etc etc.
