North America and Europe maps cannot both be loaded on non-solar Edge 1040

Thanks to the Climb Pro feature, the Edge 1040's 32gb of storage is insufficient for loading both the North America and Europe maps.  Could  we have an option to load one or both maps without the elevation data?  (I have the newest North America map, but I have kept an older version of Europe maps that doesn't have elevation data.  I would like to have the newest Europe map, just in case I travel and want to ride while I'm in Europe.)

    If you at some time might go to Europa , delete the US map and install the Europe map ..And if you go back to the US ….. Do the opposite Thumbsup

    It's been commented many many times over many many many years that Garmin needs to expand their memory, add an expansion slot.  Yet they ignore us

    Mine came with both North America and EU installed, but when there was a NA map update, it said there wasn't enough room (despite the Edge showing free space well exceeding the size of the update)  so I had to delete the EU maps.  Haven't been to the EU since, so not really a problem for me.  Still, it seems odd.
