I've been a loyal Garmin user, owner of 3 prior Edges, most recently a 1030 and this is the absolute worst.
The device regularly will reboot about 1/3 of the time, most likely to occur on longer rides. If that's all that occurred it might be tolerable. Much more frustrating is the total loss of GPS recording. There is no way to know that this is occurring as speed, time, average speed and even mapping appear appropriate. After uploading the ride, I see a long straight line extending about 25 miles from a rest stop where the device was put into sleep mode and the location where it rebooted. And now I no longer find the device reliable enough to be useful.
