Edge 1040 Map stuck randomly while navigating

Yes, this has started to happen to me also

I can also report this. Started happening after the latest firmware update.

Happened here as well. Newest firmware and factory reset from scratch.

The same happened to me today. And after swiping back and forth to the map screen approximately 20 times to restore the map view the Edge rebooted itself. Luckily the recording was still compleely there and the reboot had solved the problem for the rest of the ride.

Same swiping from main which uses a connect iq dash locks/freezes the dash and from fresh reboot will restart Garmin.

Been going crazy for days doing this, especially if it swaps to climbpro and I swipe back for  main screen

Also had two reboots last ride while moving around the map.

Luckily, no data was lost.

I've had that happen a couple times in the past week, and at least once back in April.  I don't always fixate on my map so I may have missed other times.

Thus far, it has never resulted in a loss of data, nor a missed turn.  I just figured it was a loss of GPS despite being in a very open area, but then it showed a complete track afterwards suggesting it had GPS signal throughout.  

I'll keep an eye out for it now.

Hi, having this issue as well. Is there any solution to this by now? It is really annoying when you miss a turn.
