Many many users over the years have begged Garmin to have an option for a larger VEHICLE symbol, as their customer base gets older (more mature), like me, eyesight issues will become more and more common…
This is good to know..I'd very much be interested in doing this. Even though the 530 thread is long...any chance you'd post a link to it please so I can have a read?

I have recently asked that if nothing else could they swap the symbols for the VEHICLE and the Virtual Partner which is far far less important to be visible but is twice the size of the VEHICLE symbol. It was and is a well supported request but ignored
The best we can do is make the color of the VEHICLE a little more visible, users have tried lots or colors, my current best is a neon RED with the border the same to maximise (not much) its size (the standard symbol has a white boarder which makes it appear even smaller, makes a lot of sense - NOT). Maybe one day, for the EDGE1080 ? The other discussion in the 530 forum has everything you need but got very long, one day I will get around to summarising the relevant points, there are a few other useful MapTheme modifications possible.
