I'd like to mount a 1040 on my FarSports F1 bar but the length of the 1040 will cause it to hit the bar. Is anyone aware of a spacer that I could use to elevate the computer from the mount so that it clears the bar? I would need the spacer to be about .25" or so. Other options would be to extend the out front mount but I've had no luck with that and FarSports doesn't offer a longer mount.
There are no Spacers. I own the Raveman FR160 front light since a few weeks, this could double as a daylight driving light and a spacer. It was around 40€ and as far as I can tell, its a pretty solution for the intended use case.
Its a bummer that FarSports doesn’t take the 10x0 series into account when it comes to mount length. How is the mount connected to the stem? Two screws under the stem or one in the front and one under the stem? If it is the first solution, you can get any computer mount for forward mounting. I’m riding the Topeak ones (with and without GoPro/Lightmount underneath) and those to the job pretty well.
