Software 21.16 - What about the issues (bugs?)

New version 21.16 is out but there were still a lot of issues reported in the betas that have not been addressed. A lot of drop-out issues (of course), a lot of crash / re-boot during / at start / end of activities, a lot of map issues....did the beta testers over the last 6 weeks imagine these, what were they smoking, are the issues "changes "as designed" or bugs ignored.

Have to say the beta process has become very unsatisfactory (for me at least) and lots of missed opportunities for better communication and a lot of wasted effort from many knowledgable users keen to see improvements. Not so much 21.x (because very little new) but in previous betas I have foolishly wasted dozens of hours.

Installed latest version yesterday and went on a ride, no problems observed.

I happy to hear that, because in all my last sessions, sometimes the device just starts being very confused about my position, like hundreds meters away where I actually am.

the only fix there is to switch off the gps and then switch it back and it fixes the issue immediately.

After the update, the km-count style heart zone graph disappeared, which was very useful in real time

I'm a little unclear on what graph that was? The HR zone graph was lost and then added back in 21.16. I'm not sure what graph you are describing.

Rode yesterday (Friday, May 24), everything was fine (can't remember which version I had but I always approve the updates immediately, so I assume I was probably the on the last version before 21.16?!).

Arrived home and right after installed the update - this is the 21.16.

Rode today (Saturday, May 25), first ride with the version 21.16.

1. Had no watts read. I am with SRAM Force AXS. The green led on the power unit was blinking. Stopped, turn the 1040 off and on, didn't help. Enter sensors menu, and to the power sensor item. It show connected, disconnected, connected.... that is, change state every few seconds.

2. After 10 km ride stopped, replaced battery. Didn't help, still had no watts.

3. After 50 km ride stopped, removed the power meter definition from the sensors menu, added it again. YEAH... I see watts read.

4. Into the ride had intervals, used laps key, etc. The laps screen do not list the laps, it show only single line - the current lap.
